Definition and Geometric Construction of a Parabola (Vertical)

This applet demonstrates the geometric definition of a parabola. Using a focus F and directrix p, it applies the property that a moving point's distance to the focus equals its distance to the directrix. The locus of intersection points of perpendicular bisectors forms the parabola, visually illustrating the formation of a vertical parabola and the geometric essence of conic sections.
