This GeoGebra example demonstrates a fundamental geometric property of hyperbolas: for any point P on the hyperbola, the parallelogram ORPQ formed by drawing lines through P parallel to the asymptotes has a constant area equal to ab/2, where a and b are the semi-major and semi-minor axes respectively.
