This applet demonstrates the geometric properties and construction of an ellipse. By constructing foci, circles, segments, and perpendicular bisectors, it visually illustrates the definition of an ellipse where the sum of distances from any point on the curve to the two foci is constant. Ideal for teaching and learning plane analytic geometry and conic sections.
